I come from eastern Slovakia, but for 20 years I have been living in Trenčín. I have a husband and 2 children.

I studied teaching. I worked as a teacher in a kindergarten attended by children from 3-6 years old and I also taught primary school children from 6-10 years old.

I am currently helping Slovak children living abroad improve their Slovak language skills.
Teacher of Slovak language and literature

      PaedDr. Veronika Chovancova

My name is Veronika Chovancova. Since 2015 I have been working in Bratislava as a teacher of Slovak language and literature.

I studied at the University of Philosopher Constantine in Nitra, where in 2017 I received the degree "Doctor of Education". I expanded and enriched my pedagogical practice by studying special pedagogy, counselling and speech therapy at Comenius University in Bratislava, which I successfully completed in 2018 with the state exam and thus gained the opportunity to work as a "special educator, counsellor, school speech therapist". In 2018 and 2019 I passed the first and second attestation exams in the field of study Slovak language and literature.

In my spare time, I proofread various book titles, scientific articles, and also intensively tutor children living abroad, foreign language children and children preparing for Testing 5, Testing 9 or entrance exams to various grammar schools and other secondary professional schools.

      Ing. Andrea Petuchovska

I am a teacher with more than 16 years of experience, a coach, the author of the book "Четвертый не лишний" (The fourth is not redundant). 32 years I have been living and working in Russia. I focus on teaching Slovak and Czech as a foreign language to children and russian-speaking students of different ages.

Three of our 4 children (16 to 22 yrs old) are bilingual. I know very well how difficult it is to preserve your native language and pass it on to your children when you are the only source of the language. Under my guidance, the children have passed the Slovak language and other subjects in Slovakia every year with flying colours, thus completing their compulsory schooling as stipulated by law. My elder daughter graduated from high school in Košice.

After taking into foster care a 12 year old boy from a home in Siberia, I started to work in special education. The boy, who could not read properly in 6th grade and did not know multiplication tables, passed the state monitors and graduated from school.
